Dr. Thomas J. Levek, Ph.D.
Passed away peacefully at Ascension Living Villa Franciscan Place, Joliet, IL, on September 14, 2023, at the age of 80.
He is survived by his sister, Jean (Levek) McDonald (Morton, IL); nephew, Brett McDonald (Normal, IL); and niece, Audrey (McDonald) Tanner-Kirchner (Lake Ozark, MO); and countless friends and students.
Thomas is preceded in death by his father, Edward R. Levek; mother, Mary C. Levek (nee Malinowski); and brother, Dr. Robert P. Levek, Ph.D.

Thomas graduated from Joliet Catholic High School, received his BA from Lewis University, and received his Ph.D. from the University of Hawaii.
Thomas was a chemist, teacher, coach, and author. “Doc Levek” spent 29+ years of loyal and dedicated service to Plainfield Central High School, Plainfield, IL.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023 at 11:00 A.M., at Holy Cross Cemetery (Theodore Road in Crest Hill).
