DUI Crash In Joliet Marks 3rd Arrest For Defendant: Prosecutors
Last week's arrest of 36-year-old New Lenox resident Samson Garcia by Joliet police marks his third DUI charge, according to prosecutors.

JOLIET, IL — A 36-year-old New Lenox man faces three felony charges of aggravated driving under the influence following last week's crash on Cashel Road in Joliet that injured another person.
Joliet police arrested Samson Garcia and booked him into the Will County Jail during the early morning hours of May 25. The criminal complaint states that Garcia's conduct "resulted in great bodily harm to another" and "said violation was a proximate cause of the injuries."
According to the criminal complaint, Garcia was under the influence of alcohol on May 24 when he was driving his gray 2018 Infiniti Q50 on Cashel Road. The complaint states that Garcia had a previous DUI in October 2008 in Cook County and another one in July 2013 in Cook County.

The May 24 case handled by Joliet police marks his third DUI violation, according to prosecutors. Cashel Road intersects with East Laraway Road on Joliet's east side.
The other charges indicate that Garcia "knew or should have known that the vehicle he was driving was not covered by a liability insurance policy."

A resident of the 300 block of New Lenox's Wintree Lane, Garcia was freed from county detention the following night after posting 10 percent of his $25,000 bail.
