Dunkin' Drive-Thru, Gas Station Proposed For Theodore Street
The Joliet City Council is expected to vote on the project at next Tuesday's meeting.

JOLIET, IL —Less than two weeks after the Joliet City Council unanimously approved plans to build a Dunkin' Donuts drive-thru restaurant at the Six Corners intersection, city officials are reviewing plans to construct a Dunkin' along Theodore Street.
The project at the northwest corner of Theodore Street near Drauden Road also calls for the construction of a gas station and convenient store. The land is zoned for general business.
The latest Dunkin' business development is on the agenda for the Tuesday, Aug. 4 Joliet City Council meeting. City officials Steve Jones, Jim Trizna and Jim Ghedotte are recommending approval of the drive-thru permit being sought by the developer.

On Friday, interim city manager Steve Jones told Joliet Patch the proposed Dunkin' would be built on land near Theodore Street and Drauden Road.
According to city documents, the address for the proposed Dunkin' is 5951 Theodore St. Joliet Public Works Director Jim Trizna indicated in a city council memo that the Dunkin' on Theodore Street "will not cause an adverse condition during peak traffic periods."

Brian Hertz of Manhattan is listed on city documents as the applicant for the Theodore Street Dunkin' Donuts development.
