El Primo Mexican Restaurant On Ruby Street Will Be Closing
El Primo No. 2 Mexican Restaurant has been a part of Ruby Street and the corner of Wilcox Street for many years, but not anymore.

JOLIET, IL — There will be a vacant restaurant property on Joliet's Ruby Street in the coming days as the owners of the El Primo Mexican Restaurant No. 2 will be shutting down their sit down restaurant to focus all of their attention on the downtown Joliet location, 457 N. Scott St.
The downtown location is the home to the once legendary Stefanich's Restaurant.
On Tuesday night, El Primo posted the following announcement on Facebook:

"Dear clients of cousin Mexican restaurant #2 with great sadness we inform you that unfortunately this location closed its doors due to not reaching an agreement with the lease in advance. We want to thank the employees who worked in these years and our clients who They patronized us thank you very much it is not a goodbye we hope to see you soon in a new location."
The El Primo at 700 Ruby Street will remain open until Feb. 19.
