It's the return of Elvis Night to Silver Cross Field! First pitch is at 7:05 p.m. and after the game fans will be treated to another spectacular fireworks show. It’s also Tuffy Auto Service Centers Night at Silver Cross Field.
Don't forget fans that Joliet Patch will be at Friday’s Slammers game in an effort to collect school supplies to help kids in need. They will donate all school supplies to Joliet Public Schools District 86. The district will then distribute the school supplies to students who need them. Fans who attend the game can bring any school supplies they wish to donate to Joliet Patch’s concourse table which is located on the third base side of the stadium. As a thank you, Joliet Patch will be giving out “Patch SWAG” to anyone who donates.
Even items as simple as Number 2 pencils are in high-demand. Backpacks, glue sticks, wide-ruled notebook paper and wide-ruled single-subject notebooks are other items many kids do not have for school.
