FedEx Freight Opens New Joliet Facility

JOLIET, IL - Thursday marked a noteworthy event for Joliet's business community. That day, FedEx Freight celebrated the official opening of its new service center here in Joliet. The new facility will help to accommodate the company’s growth, officials said. The center opened for operations in January with approximately 150 employees. The 169-door, 128,000-square foot center is near the intersection of Interstates 55 and 80.

“FedEx Freight is committed to bringing the latest advancements in the LTL industry to our customers, and this new center is no exception,” said Lance Moll, senior vice president of Operations at FedEx Freight, in a press release.

“The Joliet area is a key location in our network when it comes to serving the needs of our customers, and we look forward to continuing our long-standing relationship with those customers and the communities in the region.”
