Fire At Addleman Street House Happened At 4:20 AM: Joliet Fire Department's Battalion Chief Reveals

Three residents were medically evaluated on scene for smoke inhalation, the Joliet Fire Department noted.

JOLIET, IL — The Joliet Fire Department responded to an early Sunday morning house fire on the far west side at 2008 Addleman Street. According to Battalion Chief Matt Ehrsam.

At 4:23 a.m., the Joliet Fire Department learned that a family was evacuating and one occupant was initially unaccounted for. First-arriving units were on scene within five minutes of dispatch and confirmed fire was inside both the residence and attached garage.

By the time crews arrived, all family members were safely outside the structure.

Ehrsam said that firefighters deployed multiple interior hose lines to extinguish the fire while additional crews established water supply and conducted coordinated search, ventilation, salvage and overhaul, safety and support operations.

The incident was declared under control at approximately 5:40 a.m.
