Forest Preserve District Offers Bicycle Recycling Program

MONEE – Donate your old bicycle to a good cause during the Forest Preserve District of Will County’s “Recycle Your Bicycle” program from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting Tuesday, Oct. 4, and running through Sunday, Oct. 16, (except Monday, Oct. 10, when the visitor center is closed) at Monee Reservoir, 27341 Ridgeland Ave.

Monee Reservoir will collect the bikes to be given to local recycling centers that refurbish them for youth, individuals with disabilities and families in developing countries. Bikes can be in any condition – brand new or beyond repair.

Registration is not required.
