Funeral GoFundMe For Joliet Murder Victim Manny Hernandez
Emmanuel "Manny" Hernandez was one of three people fatally shot on Joliet's Great Falls Drive.

JOLIET, IL - Friends and family have set up a GoFundMe called Mannys Funeral expenses for Emmanuel Hernandez-Arroyo, one of three young adults gunned down last week inside a Joliet home on Great Falls Drive. Besides Hernandez-Arroyo, Anthony McGee and Gabriella Marie Rueda also were murdered. The Joliet Police Department has not made any arrests in connection with the triple homicide.
"A great person was taken away from us way too soon, someone with such a wonderful heart. There are no words to describe the emptiness our family feels. He did not deserve this, he had a beautiful and successful future to look forward to. We would really appreciate it if anybody can help us, any little bit counts. In loving memory of Emmanuel Hernandez," states the GoFundMe account.
As of 11 p.m. Monday, supporters had already raised $3,465 from a total of 74 people in two days. The GoFundMe account has a $20,000 goal.

One woman who gave a $100 donation on Monday commented on the GoFundMe account, "Manny was one of the sweetest people I've ever met. It's so devastating that he had to go so soon, he will forever be missed and all of the good times will forever be cherished. Thank you for being the person you were and loving my best friend the way you did. Rest in paradise Manny."
Over the weekend, a close acquaintance of Manny Hernandez posted on Facebook that his funeral visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Tezak Funeral Home on Plainfield Road and that his funeral Mass is at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Immaculate in Plainfield. According to the Will County Coroner's Office, Hernandez was a Plainfield resident. Tuesday afternoon marks the funeral visiation for Gabriella Rueda, another of the Joliet triple murder victims. Rueda lived in West Chicago. Kurtz Memorial Chapel on Francis Road in New Lenox is handling her funeral services. Visitation is from 3 from 9 p.m. Tuesday. Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Kurtz funeral home's chapel. Her obituary noted "Gabriella was a former elite softball player."
As for McGee, the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home at Black and Essington Roads is handling his funeral services. Visitation for the graduate of Plainfield South High School will be 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday. The visitation will conclude with an 8 p.m. prayer service. The interment will be private.
McGee had a significant criminal record, dating back to 2013, when he committed an armed robbery.

In April, Anthony McGee got paroled from the Illinois Department of Corrections after spending two years incarcerated. McGee went to prison after being convicted of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and felon in possession of a firearm, prison records show.
