Get Buzzed With Bliss: 2nd Annual St. Balderick's Fundraiser At Heroes
Bliss Hair Studio said its inaugural St. Balderick's Day event to fight children's cancer raised $30,000.

JOLIET, IL — The Bliss Hair Studio at 852 Sharp Drive in Shorewood raised $30,000 last year during its first-ever Get Buzzed With Bliss St. Balderick's fund-raiser to benefit the St. Balderick's Foundation that works to end children's cancer.
"We were able to raise $30,000 last year and being the only St.Baldrick's event in our area, I’d say that’s pretty good! But we could do better," remarked Samantha McCarthy of Bliss.
Hoping to top last year's fund-raising total, "Get Buzzed With Bliss" takes place this Saturday, March 4 at Joliet's Heroes West Sports Grill near Interstate 80 and Houbolt Road.

Saturday's registration begins at 1 p.m. and shaving starts at 2 p.m. There will be live music entertainment from the Joliet band Hot Mess and from Bagpipes & Drums. Bliss will also have a 50-50 raffle.
"We are extremely excited and proud to host this event with Heroes West Sports Grill and AFSCME Local 440 City of Joliet Employees. Having a community that helped us raise $30,000 last year blew us away, we look forward to surpassing that goal this year," McCarthy informed Joliet Patch. "We hope to see you at the event to see for yourself how wonderful our community is when it comes to supporting a charity that has helped countless children in their fight against cancer."
