Glass Jar Hits Victim's Head During Plainfield Household Attack: JPD

Joliet police responded to 58-year-old Maria Fluder's house in the 2400 block of Cactus Court for a domestic disturbance and arrested her.

JOLIET, IL — A 58-year-old woman from the Plainfield area was arrested by Joliet police this week following an incident involving a glass jar at her house in the 2400 block of Cactus Court, arrest reports for Maria Fluder show.

Officers took Fluder into custody at her house on domestic battery charges. The incident happened Tuesday night.

At 8:04 p.m., officers responded to the 2400 block of Cactus Court for a domestic disturbance. During an argument with someone in her household, police said Fluder threw a glass jar at her victim, striking him in the head. Fluder then punched and scratched the victim, at which time the victim held on to her to stop the attack.

According to police, Fluder again punched the victim. Fluder was placed into custody without incident.

Jail logs show that Fluder walked out of the Will County Jail on Thursday evening.
