Godley Man Dies After Losing Control of Motorcycle

The man veered into a ditch and was ejected from his motorcycle.

A 51-year-old Godley man died Sunday after he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed, according to a release from the Grundy County Coroner’s Office.

Kimberly Charles Hysel, 51, was traveling northbound on Rt. 53 just south of Gardner when he lost control of his motorcycle and veered into the a ditch. He was ejected from the motorcycle.

Hysel was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:05 p.m. by Grundy County Coroner John Callahan.

The crash remains under investigation by the coroner’s office, Grundy County Sheriff’s Department and the Illinois State Police Reconstruction Team.
