Gotta a City Complaint? There's an App for That

Joliet has launched a new system that allows people to lodge a complaint or ask for service using their smartphones and computers.

The city of Joliet issued this news release:

The City of Joliet has initiated a new system for submitting complaints and service requests for resident use. The new service, available via smartphones and the City’s website, offers the ability to register complaints and submit requests online.

The smartphone app for iPhones and Android devices is available for free from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store, respectively. Users can search for “GoRequest” in the App Store and the Google Play Store. The app downloads and installs in seconds and is very user-friendly.

Location information and address is automatically available from the phone. Users can select the type of issue from a pull-down list, attach a photo, and supply contact information. The app provides a tracking number on submission which can be used for follow-up as desired.

You may also go to the City of Joliet website at www.cityofjoliet.info and click on the “I WANT TO”…Report…tab. Then click on “file a complaint online”. Users can still select the type of subject matter from a pull-down list, attach a photo, and supply contact information.
