Two gunmen opened fire at the wake of 16-year-old La'Tray Wright, police said.

Two black-clad gunmen opened fire at the wake of slain 16-year-old La’Tray Wright Monday afternoon.

The shooters hit a car, a house and Minor-Morris Funeral Home before they made themselves scarce. The gunmen failed to hit any people.

The gun attack was launched just as the 4 p.m. visitation was to start.

Wright was gunned down in an Oct. 23 drive-by shooting near the corner of Fairmont and Princeton avenues. The gunman opened fire from a blue car as Wright and another teen fled. While Wright was killed, the other teen escaped without injury.

Another 16-year-old from the same gang as Wright was charged with his murder, police said. Wright and his alleged killer, Christopher Stamps, were in different factions of the same gang, police said. Hard feelings reportedly developed between the two over unkind Facebook posts and that led to the killing.

Stamps’ home on California Avenue was shot up the day after Wright was slain. Police believe the attack was done in retaliation for the fatal drive-by.

Stamps is being tried as an adult but was locked up at River Valley Juvenile Detention Center. He is being held in lieu of $3 million bond.

The gunmen from the funeral home shooting remain at large.
