Harley Rider, 58, In Critical Condition After Joliet Wreck
The roadway was closed for several hours as traffic investigators reconstructed the crash.

JOLIET, IL — A 58-year-old Harley-Davidson motorcycle rider from Lockport is fighting for his life after colliding with a 65-year-old Channahon woman during Saturday night's wreck along a busy Joliet street.
The crash happened at 9:16 p.m.
Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English, said the following events took place:

- The Harley-Davidson motorcycle driver, operated by the 58-year-old Lockport man, was westbound on West Jefferson Street approaching Houbolt Road in the inside lane at which time the motorcyclist struck the rear of a Kia Sportage driven by the woman from Channahon who was also westbound on West Jefferson Street in the same lane.
- The collision caused the man to be ejected from the motorcycle. He was taken to Ascension St Joseph Medical Center by the Joliet Fire Department in critical condition.
- The driver of the Kia Sportage was uninjured.
- The roadway was closed for several hours as traffic investigators reconstructed the crash. This crash remains under investigation by the Joliet Police Department Traffic Division.
