Harley Rider Kenneth Benson Recently Charged With 3rd DUI

The Joliet man who lives on Rowell Avenue faces a second felony, aggravated driving while license revoked.

JOLIET, IL - Harley owner Kenneth S. Benson of Joliet knows he isn't supposed to be driving. His license was previously revoked, court documents show. Yet in recent weeks, according to court documents, Benson drove his Harley-Davidson motorcycle around Will County without a license and while intoxicated. He now faces two felonies at the Will County Courthouse: aggravated DUI and aggravated driving while license revoked. It's Benson's third DUI charge.

Benson, 43, who lives in the 400 block of Rowell Avenue, is scheduled for his arraignment at the courthouse next week. He hired downtown Joliet lawyer Cosmo Tedone to represent him.

According to the criminal complaint, Benson is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol on August 25. An Illinois State Police trooper saw Benson driving a 1998 Harley-Davidson motorcycle on East Frontage Road in Wilmington Township, the documents note. Benson was previously busted for DUI in Grundy County on Feb. 22, 1994, and in Will County on March 31, 2007, court documents show. Additionally, Benson now stands accused of driving with a revoked license for the fourth time.
