Man Began Throwing Things Around Joliet House, Violated Order Of Protection: Police

Following his arrest, officers discovered that Gaudry had an arrest warrant out of Kane County for criminal damage to property.

JOLIET, IL — A 23-year-old Lockport man now finds himself in the Will County Jail for the fourth time in four years after Joliet police say he violated an order of protection, showing up at his victim's house and began throwing objects around inside the home.

Joliet police took James R. Gaudry to the jail on a charge of violation of an order of protection. He was also arrested on a Kane County arrest warrant for criminal damage to property.

At approximately 6:30 a.m. on Monday, Joliet police officers were sent to the 3000 block of Legacy Drive regarding a violation of an order of protection. The officers spoke with the victim, a 53-year-old resident of Joliet.

The victim reported he had obtained an order of protection against Gaudry in early July. Then this week, he allowed Gaudry to spend the night at the protected address. While intoxicated, Gaudry began throwing items around the residence, Landeros said.

When the victim instructed him to leave, Gaudry refused, and the victim called police.

Gaudry was not at the residence when officers arrived but was later located at a nearby fast-food restaurant and taken into custody. Following his arrest, officers discovered that Gaudry had an arrest warrant out of Kane County for criminal damage to property.
