Homeless Man Takes Out His Aggression On Flower Pots: Police
Police say the 62-year-old homeless man began throwing the flower pots that were around the Will County Courthouse.

JOLIET, IL - Based on Wednesday's incident at the Will County Courthouse, it's a safe bet that 62-year-old David Towner won't be working at any local flower shops anytime soon. Joliet police say that around 3:30 p.m., while several people were walking along the unit block of West Jefferson Street, Towner began removing a number of flower pots from around the courthouse.
Police say he began throwing them to the ground along the sidewalk, destroying the potted plants. Eventually, the Will County Sheriff's Department courthouse security staff intervened and stopped Towner. Joliet Police officers were called. Officers cited Towner, who police say is homeless, for criminal damage to property, a misdemeanor offense. Police said they have video surveillance evidence of the incident.
Will County jail logs show that Towner has been in and out custody on multiple occasions in recent years, including arrests on charges of burglary, criminal trespass and driving on a revoked license. Booking logs indicate the last time his mugshot was taken, back in February, he gave a Romeoville address.
