Industry Tap House Teams With Aurelio's For Outdoor Patio
Industry Tap House opened last summer in the large commercial plaza along West Jefferson Street across from Inwood.

JOLIET, IL— After being shutdown to guests amid the new coronavirus outbreak, a relatively new Joliet bar at the Twin Plaza on West Jefferson Street is taking a creative approach to attract new customers.
And if you're coming to Industry Tap House for the craft beer, there's a good chance you will see the crew from Aurelio's Pizza delivering pizzas to Industry Tap House's outdoor patio area. Industry Tap House's owner told Patch he distributes a lot of Aurelio's Pizza menus for his guests, and "I throw a lot of pizza boxes away."
Industry Tap House is doing what it can to help out Aurelio's, one of Joliet's best known restaurants, during a time when Aurelios does not have any outdoor seating. There has been a 10 percent discount on all food orders for Aurelio's Pizza placed by patrons visiting the patio at Industry Tap House, its owner said.

As a new bar, Industry Tap House is trying to find its niche at a time when the pandemic has made for hectic times for so many business owners trying to maintain consistent hours. The weekend of June 12 marks the third weekend that Industry Tap House will be open with its new outdoor patio area.
Industry Tap House said it has 14 patio tables out front. Each table includes four chairs.
"We only serve craft draft beer," the bar's owner told Joliet Patch last week. "A lot of people have said to us, Joliet needed a place like this."
Industry Tap told Patch it carries craft beers made all over the country and features craft beers made in the Joliet area, including the Will County Brewing Company, which is a couple miles up the road in Shorewood, and downtown Joliet's MyGrain Brewing Company.
"We try to do the local guys, we try to put them in here," the owner of Industry Tap House said.
Here's a sampling of craft beers on tap, according to Industry Tap House's menu: MyGrain Ze Vorld's Greatest Dopplebock, Haymarket Pub and Brewery in Chicago's Whitechapel Wilt, Surly Axe Man out of Minneapolis, Odd Side Ales Bean Flicker from Grand Haven, Mich., Crystal Lake Busted Prop, Ballast Point Watermelon Dorado out of San Diego, Collective Arts Jam Up The Mash out of Hamilton, Ontario and Metal Monkey's The Ellis Redding.
The craft bottled beers available at Industry Tap House include: 3 Floyds Alpha King, Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald, Omission Lager out of Portland, Oregon and Moody Tongue Carmelized Chocolate Churro Baltic Porter made in Chicago.
Industry Tap House does carry domestic beers in bottles.
When Industry Tap House opened its outdoor patio May 29, "We had a great turnout and people are liking the patio," its owner told Joliet Patch. "It's the first patio I've ever had. It's a nice shopping plaza, nice people, it's busy, except for a couple places."
This past Tuesday, Industry Tap House announced on its Facebook page: "No more curfew and back to normal business hours finally."
Industry Tap House plans to stay open until 2 a.m. on weekdays and 3 a.m. on weekends.
"We definitely want regulars," the bar owner told Patch. "We are starting to build a regular clientele, which is nice."
