Lockport Man Turns Violent At Harrah's Casino, Joliet's Cops Called, Arrest Made: Police (patch.com) — People heading into downtown Joliet's Harrah's Casino may notice tighter attention from Joliet police after officers were called when a Lockport man allegedly shoved a security guard and refused to leave. The weekend disturbance ended with his arrest on battery and criminal trespass charges, and he was later released on a notice to appear in Will County court.
   

2. Joliet Girl, 15, Runs To Neighbor's To Seek Help, Woman Arrested By Joliet Police, Taken To Will County Jail (patch.com) — Joliet readers should know police say a 15-year-old girl fled her Legacy Pointe Boulevard home to a neighbor's house to call 911 after an argument with 30-year-old Katherine McDougal allegedly turned violent. Officers reported minor injuries, arrested McDougal on aggravated domestic battery and interference with reporting domestic violence, and noted she was released Monday after three days in the Will County Jail.
   

3. St. Joe's Hospital Staff Threatened With Death By Homeless Patient Who Became Disruptive: Joliet Police (patch.com) — People in Joliet may be alarmed to hear police were called to St. Joseph Medical Center after staff reported a homeless patient became disruptive and allegedly threatened to stab security with a knife. Officers arrested 53-year-old Jason Chance on three aggravated assault counts, then took him to the Joliet Police Department, where he was processed and released with a notice to appear in court.
   

4. He Used Garden Hose To Soak His Neighbor With Water: Joliet Police Put Man On Norton Ave. In Jail (patch.com) — Joliet residents may notice extra police attention on Norton Avenue after officers arrested a 52-year-old man accused of spraying a neighbor with water from a garden hose, allegedly violating stalking no-contact orders. Police say video evidence supported charges of battery and order violation, and the man is now being held at the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
   

5. Joliet City Council to vote Tuesday on gas station with car wash and drive-thru restaurant (shawlocal.com) — Joliet City Council is set to vote Tuesday on a proposed Billy's-branded gas station, car wash, and drive-thru restaurant at Route 59 and Theodore Street, near Walmart and CarMax. Some council members question adding another car wash after rejecting a similar plan in 2023, while city staff and the Zoning Board support the project's multi-building, fuel-and-food development.
