Jameson's Pub: Coronavirus Causes Closure

Jameson's Pub on Joliet's Black Road announced that it is shutting down indefinitely because of the coronavirus case.

JOLIET, IL — Several thousand people into the Joliet area have visited Jameson's Pub off Black Road over the years, but on Tuesday afternoon the doors were closed and nobody was inside. T

he well-known Joliet establishment announced on Facebook that one of its employees has contracted the new coronavirus.

"We are closed to deep clean the bar. We are taking all precautions and having all of our employees tested before they return," a sign on the entrance door reads. "Thanks for understanding."

Jameson's Pub, 2755 Black Road, did not indicate when they planned to reopen. The sports bar and pub has a large following, showing 59,888 people have checked in to Jameson's Pub according to its Facebook page.

Recently, Cemeno's Pizza on Essington Road had an administrative employee test positive for the coronavirus, but Cemeno's only shutdown for two days before reopening.
