JCHS French Honors Society Inducts New Members

23 new members join Joliet Central High School's French Honor Society.

The Joliet Central High School chapter of the Société Honoraire de Français (French Honor Society) held its induction ceremony of new members on Wednesday, April 29.

Twenty-three new members were inducted. New members include Stephanie Cardenas, Roberto Contreras, Giovanni Contreras-Orozco, Yareley Gonzalez, Alexis Granados, Diana Granados, Daisy Hernandez, Freddy Hernandez, Maritza Lopez, Endy Lozano, Annalise Malin, Dominic Micheletto, Jessica Patino-Alvarado, Valeria Ramirez, Taylor Robinson, Jihan Salameh, Guadalupe Sanchez, Magdalena Silva, Jared Sims, Israel Udave, Mayra Zaragoza, and Estefania Zavala.

“To earn membership in our chapter of the National French Honor Society, students must be in French 3 or French 4 (juniors or seniors) and must have earned an A each semester in their French classes,” said Joliet Central French teacher Sharon Eichensehr. “Additionally, they must have a B average in all other classes.”

The SHF (Société Honoraire de Français) is run by the American Association of Teachers of French (AATF).
