Joliet Burglar Injured Older Woman: Complaint

JOLIET, IL - A 35-year-old woman who lives in the 2200 block of Marmion Avenue now finds herself in the Will County lockup facing two felony charges in connection with a burglary that injured an older woman. Brandi Ceci was taken into custody by the Joliet Police Department on Wednesday. Prosecutors charged her last week with the crime of burglary as well as aggravated battery to a senior citizen.

Ceci's bail was set at $25,000 by one of the judges.

The complaint states that Ceci, back on Aug. 24, "knowingly and without authority entered into a dwelling" of a neighboring property on Marmion Avenue "with the intent to commit a theft."

The complaint also states that Ceci committed battery by pushing the victim "about her body."
