Joliet Catholic Delays State Football Championship Ceremony
School at Joliet Catholic Academy was also canceled for Monday.
JOLIET, IL - The Joliet Catholic Academy High School was expected to be in a rocking great mood on Monday coming off Saturday's upset victory over the Montini Broncos to win the Class 5A state football championship in Champaign. However, Sunday night's blizzard-like conditions has canceled school for students on Monday. It also caused school officials to postpone the Monday afternoon ceremony to honor their football team.
"The ceremony honoring the Hilltoppers State Football Championship will also be canceled and moved to Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Student Activity Center," Joliet Catholic officials announced shortly after 9:30 p.m. Sunday.
