The Joliet Central JROTC archery program, a new team to centrals extensive list of fun, adventurous and motivational JROTC teams, unlike its drill-based counterparts such as Drill, Color Guard, Exhibition and Honor Guard it leans more as a spin-off of our award-winning Rifle team; it takes long hours of dedication, discipline and motivation to make it to the archery team. It focuses on core muscles; the act of drawing a bow requires focus and strength. It corresponds to focusing one's attention on a certain point for a period of time while controlling your breathing.
Be that as it may, Joliet Central's Archery team is nothing but extraordinary for its first year “It's going extremely well; it's good for the cadets; it's fun and motivates our cadets” said retired Master Sergeant McClellan, Archery and Drill Instructor at Joliet Central.

"I feel as if it's a good thing for the cadets, it was a little rocky at first, but we soon got the hang of it, now we're winning competitions against schools who have been doing archery longer than us, it's great for motivation and what it can do for our cadets” said C/Lieutenant Colonel Keegan Srebro ,What it does for the cadets in the program is unbelievable; it gives them a place to let loose and take control of their lives and actions. I believe that our archery program is going to go on and do amazing things even after the latest class of 2025 graduates.
