Joliet Drug Dealer's Cocaine Seized During His Arrest: Police
Joliet police say officers conducted a traffic stop on a Dodge Charger near the 100 block of Akin Avenue for tinted windows.

JOLIET, IL — A 30-year-old resident of Joliet is now in Will County's Jail facing drug dealing charges following his arrest in an east side neighborhood.
Joliet police say Quentin McDaniel has been charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and obstructing justice.
McDaniel's arrest happened around 6:35 p.m. Friday.

Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English said the following events led up to it:
- Officers conducted a traffic stop on a Dodge Charger near the 100 block of Akin Avenue for tinted windows. McDaniel was a passenger and the driver was Detrion Anderson, 28, Joliet.
- Officers saw an open container of alcohol inside the vehicle. Upon search of the vehicle, officers recovered suspected cocaine that appeared to be packaged for sale underneath seat where McDaniel had previously been seated.
- McDaniel was placed into custody without incident. He was also cited for illegal transportation of alcohol by passenger. Anderson was cited for tinted windows. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
McDaniel comes from the 100 block of Akin, and his bail was set at $30,000, jail logs show.
