Joliet Family Donated HDTVs To Seniors

Frank and Laura Pastorello of Joliet presented 10 brand new 40-inch HDTVs to seniors at the Timbers of Shorewood to show appreciation.

Frank and Laura Pastorello of Joliet had a Christmas surprise for residents of The Timbers of Shorewood. They presented 10 brand new 40-inch, high definition televisions out of appreciation to the staff for the dedicated care Frank’s father received.

Frank is the son of Joseph Pastorello, a former resident of the Timbers who passed away in 2019.

“My dad loved living at The Timbers,” Frank said. “He was cared for so well. I wanted to do something for The Timbers because of the way my dad felt. I’ll never forget that when dad was passing, his housekeeper asked if she could say goodbye, and when she walked out, she was crying. I feel they cared so much and loved dad. I recommend The Timbers to everyone.”

Veterans living at The Timbers were first to receive the TVs. Each vet was awe-struck with the quality of the picture.

“Frank and Laura’s gift was so generous,” said Sheila Albor, director of marketing at The Timbers. “We hear amazing feedback from family members often, but the donation of these HDTV’s is the next level.”
