Joliet Family Returns for Season 2 of 'Preachers' Daughters'

What's life like for a preacher's daughter?

Find out Wednesday night when 18-year-old Taylor Coleman and her family appear in season two of the Lifetime network's program "Preachers' Daughters."

Her dad Ken, who runs a strict household is a pastor at City of Refuge Pentecostal Church in Lockport.

"We’re a normal family, a faith-based family, but we still have issues just like everyone else," Ken Coleman told reporter Lauren Leone-Cross, who writes for Shaw Media. "We’ve received a lot of positive feedback from people who said the show helped them with their kids and their families in talking about issues."

Issues like partying and dating boys your parents don't like. Other pastor daughters on the program deal with pregnancy, drugs and drinking.

Taylor's dad was diagnosed with a rare disease, and the second season focuses on his need for a kidney transplant and how he and his daughter have grown closer.

“My dad and I are closer than ever and spend a lot of time together because you never know when," she said. " I truly love my dad."

The family is hosting a screening party, 7 to 10 p.m. Wednesday at The Department, 205 N. Chicago St. in Joliet.
