Joliet Fire On Blackberry Ridge Court In Plainfield Area
Joliet Fire Department crews from stations 6,7,8,9,10 responded to the house fire in one of the subdivisions near Drauden Road.

JOLIET, IL — Joliet Fire Department Battalion Chief Daniel Berta issued a press release announcing that Wednesday's fire broke out in the far west of Joliet in the 2200 block of Blackberry Ridge Drive at 5 p.m.
Berta said that his agency's first fire engines arrived within two minutes of the call near Drauden Road Joliet firefighters encountered heavy smoke from the rear of the two-story house.
Crews from Station 9 saw fire on the main floor of the house.

Multiple hose lines were needed to extinguish the first floor blaze, and everyone who lived there managed to escape before the Joliet fire engines arrived.
The fire was declared under control at 5:30 p.m. and fire crews from stations 6,7,8,9 and 10 responded.

There were no injuries, and the fire is currently under investigation, Berta explained.
