Joliet Goodwill Store Busts Bolingbrook Woman For Trespassing

Linda Hiorns was previously caught shoplifting at a Naperville Goodwill store, Joliet police say.

JOLIET, IL - Most people go to Goodwill because you can find great deals on used clothes and other assorted items. Thursday's trip to the Joliet Goodwill Store & Donation Center over by the Louis Joliet Mall may cost a 67-year-old Bolingbrook woman a lot of money and she will have nothing to show for it. Joliet police say they cited Linda Hiorns, 400 block of Monet Circle, on a misdemeanor charge of criminal trespassing to property as a result of her decision to drive over to the Goodwill store in the 3000 block of Hennepin Drive.

Joliet police say that Hiorns was previously busted for retail theft at a Goodwill store in Naperville and that the Bolingbrook resident signed a letter acknowledging she was being banned from all Goodwill stores. However, that did not stop her from making the drive from Bolingbrook to try her luck at shopping inside the Joliet Goodwill, according to police.

However, the Goodwill store employees apparently realized her presence inside their store and quickly notified the Joliet police. Officers responded and gave her a citation. However, the 67-year-old woman was not taken into custody and hauled off to the Will County jail.
