The incident occurred shortly before 5:30 p.m. Wednesday inside the parking lot, according to Joliet police.

JOLIET, IL - A 38-year-old Joliet man has been charged with disorderly conduct after he was seen masturbating Wednesday evening near the Joliet Splash Station waterpark, according to the Joliet Police Department. Aurelio Aguilera-Lara, who lives in the 100 block of Hobbs Avenue, was charged with disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Police said the incident happened just before 5:30 p.m. by the outdoor water park located in the 2700 block of Channahon Road.

According to Deputy Police Chief Ed Gregory, a Splash Station employee had just finished her shift and was walking back to her vehicle. There in the parking lot, she saw Aguilera-Lara standing at the back of a gray van with the back door open. "His pants were lowered, and he was masturbating," Gregory said Thursday.

At the time, Aguilera-Lara was watching a woman who was with two children standing about 20 feet away from the van, Gregory said. The Splash Station employee who saw incident "got video of the guy," Gregory said. "Our worker was alarmed by his action."
