Vega then threw a chair and lamp at the victim. After the initial attack by Vega, Vega’s 17-year-old son then threw the victim to the ground again and began kicking her.
Vega and his son left the residence, but then returned and were placed into custody without incident by Joliet police.
As for Vega, he's no longer in the Will County Jail. Around 2 a.m. on Friday, he paid the necessary $350, which was 10 percent of his $3,500 bail, jail logs show. This is Vega's second arrest by Joliet police in the past several months. He spent a day in the county jail on April 1 after being arrested on charges of driving under the influence and driving on a suspended license, the logs reflect.
