Joliet Man Gets 105 Years for Sexual Assault of Little Girl
James Robinson was babysitting the girl when he assaulted her, then threatened to kill her family if she reported it, authorities said.

A Joliet man was sentenced to 105 year in prison Tuesday for sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl.
James R. Robinson, 36, of 1023 Arthur Court, was convicted in October of three counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

Robinson was watching the little girl when he sexually assaulted her, then threatened to kill her family if she reported him, according to the Will County State’s Attorney’s office.
“In this horrific act of betrayal, James Robinson stole the innocence from a young girl,” State’s Attorney James Glasgow said. “This predator will spend the rest of his life in prison where he can never harm another child.”

Robinson had prior convictions for criminal sexual abuse and for dealing drugs.
Judge David Carlson handed down the sentence. Robinson received 33 years for each of the three predatory criminal sexual assault charges, to run consecutively. He also received six years on the aggravated criminal sexual abuse charge, also to run consecutively.
