Joliet Man Stole '4 Kids Sake' Donation Box: Complaint

Frank Klee, shown in this 2017 mugshot, now has a bench warrant out of his arrest.

JOLIET, IL - Frank M. Klee, a convicted thief who was jailed last year for stealing from the Kohl's store on Route 59, now is wanted by the Joliet Police Department for a crime on New Year's Day. It is a revolting crime. The 49-year-old Joliet man is accused of walking into the Gulf Gas Station and having "knowingly obtained unauthorized control over ... a donation box containing cash on behalf of '4-Kids Sake,'" the criminal complaint filed Wednesday at the Will County Courthouse reads.

A warrant for Klee's arrest was issued this week by a Will County judge. The criminal complaint charges Klee with committing a felony theft, noting that Klee was convicted in 2014 in Will County of the crime of retail theft.

Also, last May, Joliet Police arrested Klee in connection with a retail theft inside the Kohl's department store on Route 59. In mid-July, Klee pleaded guilty to a felony theft charge, court records show. At sentencing, he was given credit for serving 59 days in jail and put on two years of probation.
