Joliet Mother 'Slammed The Baby Into His Car Seat': Woman
A Joliet woman has obtained an order of protection to keep 25-year-old Will County Jail inmate Taylor Harmon out of her life.

JOLIET, IL — A Will County judge has granted a protection order for a 26-year-old woman seeking to keep Joliet felony defendant Taylor Harmon, age 25, out of her life in the event that the Joliet woman accused of serious child abuse posts her bond.
Last week, Joliet police arrested Harmon on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, as well as two counts of domestic battery and one count of endangering the life and safety of a child.
Harmon's bail remains at $150,000, and she has not posted the necessary 10 percent in cash to bond out of jail. The Joliet police incident involving Harmon's infant happened in the 100 block of North Center Street, where Harmon resides.

"I am requesting an order of protection against Taylor because I went into her apartment last night because I heard her yelling obscenities to her 5-month-old baby," the order of protection states. "She slammed the baby into his car seat and (he) has injuries on the back of his head and neck.
"She was vigorously shaking the infant carrier to where he had to be hospitalized and he is still in the hospital. She was high and drunk when the police arrived."

The order of protection against the Joliet defendant states that "when she uses cannabis, her behavior gets worse. She stated she would kill me and called (me) a f****** bitch."
Last Friday, Joliet Patch reported that Harmon's little boy was initially taken to St. Joe's hospital by a Joliet Fire Department ambulance. Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English said it was his understanding the little boy was transferred to a different hospital, Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, but is still in the care of the Department of Child and Family Services.
