Joliet Officer Attacked, Woman Faces 4 Charges: Complaint
The 25-year--old Joliet woman remains in custody at the Will County Jail.

JOLIET, IL — A 25-year-old Joliet woman has been charged with assault after police said she became violent with a Joliet police officer on Jan. 31, court records state. Domanique Danielle Waters, of the 600 block of Silver Leaf Drive, was also charged with aggravated battery, resisting a peace officer and obstructing a peace officer.
Will County prosecutors say that Waters "struggled during the handcuffing procedures" and "refused to place her hands on the officer's vehicle" after officer Olin Torkelson tried to arrest her while investigating a complaint.
The nature of the initial complaint and what led up to the arrest aren't clear.

Additionally, Waters "struck Olin Torkelson about the head" and threw a bottle at a woman, leaving the woman "in reasonable apprehension of receiving a battery," the complaint states.
A Will County judge set bail at $15,000 for Waters, but as of Feb. 10, she remained in county detention, unable to post 10 percent to regain her freedom, according to jail records.
