Joliet Police: He Punched Woman In Face, Kicked Her Child
A father and his son both got taken away in handcuffs by Joliet officers.

JOLIET, IL - A 47-year-old Joliet man wound up in the Will County Jail last week after Joliet Police say he punched a woman in her face after kicking her child. As a result of the encounter, Joliet Police hauled off Rodolfo Paredez Sr. on charges of domestic battery while Rodolfo Paredez Jr. 24, was taken to the Joliet Police and processed on a misdemeanor offense of assault.
Last Friday, around 7 p.m., Joliet Police responded to a domestic battery in the 400 block of East Jackson Street, on the city's east side.
"Upon arrival the victim stated she observed her father, Rodolfo Sr., kick her child. When the victim confronted Rodolfo Sr, he started arguing with the victim, then punched her in the face," police reports show.

The Joliet Police decided to put the 47-year-old man in handcuffs and haul him off to the Will County Jail and that's when his son intervened, according to police.
"When officers were arresting Sr., Jr. became aggressive and belligerent with the officers and made verbal threats towards the arresting officers. Jr. was then arrested as well. Both were arrested on the above listed offenses," the police said.

The 24-year-old Paredez was later released on a $1,500 I-Bond.
As for his dad, his bail was set at $5,000, but as of Tuesday morning, he remained in county custody.
