JOLIET, IL —With less than 24 hours until Christmas arrives, officers at the Joliet Police Department sprang into action on Christmas Eve to help the city's less fortunate. The department's Pack the Paddy Wagon food drive was a success. On Tuesday, police officers delivered food to the Guardian Angel Community Services in downtown Joliet on North Ottawa Street.

"Guardian Angel Community Services assist many families in need throughout the Joliet area. We are happy to assist our local organizations in anyway we can," Joliet Police announced on Facebook.

Lastly, Joliet Police made a point to thank everyone in the community who donated perishable food items at the city's two police stations during the recent food drive campaign.
