Joliet Police Pop Sanchez For DUI No. 6: Complaint

JOLIET, IL — The Joliet Police Department has filed felony charges of aggravated driving under the influence against a 42-year-old Joliet man who was previously residing in the 700 block of Silver Leaf Court. For Rogelio Sanchez Jr., it's his sixth offense of driving under the influence, his criminal complaint shows.

The defendant remains at large and a bench warrant was issued in late August for his arrest. The mugshot for this article is from April 2018, the last time Sanchez stayed at Will County's Jail.

According to the recently filed criminal complaint from Joliet Police Officer Bob Mau Jr., back in May 6, "said defendant, while under the influence of alcohol, drove a vehicle, a Chevrolet Express, upon South Young Road in Joliet." The aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol charge, a Class X felony, states that Rogelio Sanchez Jr., has five prior DUI convictions as follows:

Also, Sanchez faces a second charge of aggravated DUI, a Class 4 felony, that indicates the Joliet defendant "was currently revoked for a prior" DUI violation. His third felony charge, aggravated driving while license revoked, indicates Sanchez's driving privileges were previously revoked or suspended on four prior occasions, and this marks "the defendant's fifth violation."
