Joliet Woman, 23, Critical After Mysterious Crime: Police
There is no threat to the community. The victim remains in the hospital in critical condition, Joliet police announced.

JOLIET, IL — A 23-year-old woman is fighting for her life after being brought to the Silver Cross Hospital with serious head injuries over the weekend.
Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English said officers discovered the incident around 12:25 p.m. on Saturday.

- Officers responded to Silver Cross Hospital after an unconscious 23-year-old woman with serious head trauma was brought to the hospital by family.
- Family members had found the victim at her residence in the 1200 block of Kelly Avenue and took her to Silver Cross Hospital.
- Officers and detectives secured a crime scene at the Kelly Avenue residence.
- It is believed that the victim’s injuries occurred as a result of a domestic related incident and there is no threat to the community. The victim remains in the hospital in critical condition.
