Joliet's Latest Murder Victim Was On DuPage's Most Wanted List
Joliet Police officers found the slain 25-year-old woman shortly after 5 a.m. on Thursday on The Hill.

JOLIET, IL — A 25-year-old woman who was found slain around 5 a.m. last Thursday on Joliet's east side was on the DuPage County Sheriff's Office list of "Most Wanted" criminal suspects. According to DuPage County Sheriff's website, Shaianne Williams was sought by police in DuPage County in connection with a felony arrest warrant charging her with mob action: use of force or violence disturbing the peace.
Williams' arrest warrant had a $250,000 bail, meaning that she would have had to post $25,000 cash in order to get out of custody.
Her last known address to DuPage County authorities was in Naperville on Fessler Avenue.

At 5:07 a.m. on Oct. 17, Joliet Police officers responded to the intersection of California Avenue and Rosalind Street for a person found on the ground. Responding officers found Williams deceased with trauma to her body.
The area where Williams' body was found is known as The Hill. It's close to the now-vacant Fairview housing projects, which were the site of multiple murders every year in Joliet until they were finally closed in May.

So far, there have been no arrests made in connection with Williams' slaying.
