JOLIET, IL — A well-known downtown Joliet restaurant and bar has greatly reduced its hours of operation a few weeks after reopening. Juliet's posted a small sign on the front entrance along North Chicago Street advising people that "Due to Covid-19, we will be operating with the following business hours."

Juliet's is now closed three days a week: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Juliet's is no longer staying open during the lunch hour.

According to the sign, Juliet's is staying open from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday and Friday and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

On July 8, Joliet Patch wrote about Juliet's decision to reopen its Italian cuisine restaurant after staying closed the previous four months.

During the shutdown, the owners of Juliet's installed new flooring inside the bar.

Juliet's draws many of its regular customers from Joliet, Plainfield, New Lenox and Shorewood.

The sign on the building indicates that Juliet's hopes to return to normal business hours after Labor Day weekend. Incidentally, September will mark Juliet's sixth anniversary in downtown Joliet.
