Juneteenth Celebration At Joliet's Nowell Park

Friday's Juneteenth event in Joliet begins at 6 p.m.

JOLIET, IL — Joliet area residents are encouraged to attend a Juneteenth Celebration that starts at 6 p.m. Friday and continues until dark at Joliet's Nowell Park on Gardner Street.

The event will include food, fun and fireworks, organizers said. Music will be provided by DJ Sonryze. A flier for the Joliet Juneteenth Celebration stated that people will be required to wear masks and maintain social distancing. Friday night's event is being hosted by UcMeEXPRESSIONS.
