JWHS Science Team Shows Success at SWSC Competition
The team brought 31 students to the competition and returned home with 11 medals.
The Joliet West Science Team had a successful day at the SWSC Science Competition on Saturday, January 23. The team brought 31 students to the competition and returned home with 11 medals.
The team placed first in the Marble Maze event, second in the Road Scholar event, second and third in the Mousetrap Car competition, third in the Balloon Powered Hover Craft competition and third in the Mysterious Pedigrees event.
“I am very excited about the growth of our team this year,” said Erin Wagner, advisor of the Science Club. “We had to create a JV Science Olympiad team in addition to our varsity because we have so many students interested in participating. We are looking forward to our upcoming competitions and the continual progress of our team.”
