K9EI Vaccine Wellness Clinic

Happy Pets, Happy Parents! Working to prevent the surrender of dogs and cats to shelters with low cost care.

JOLIET, IL — Efforts to keep local pets healthy and in their homes continued this month as the K9EI Vaccine Wellness Clinic hosted a successful event at the Salvation Army Community Center in downtown Joliet. On August 16, 2026, the clinic served 85 pet clients, providing essential medical services to the community.

The K9 Enrichment Initiative program is designed to remove barriers to veterinary care by offering low-cost vaccinations, helping families maintain the health of their pets and ensuring that animals can remain with the families who love them.

To ensure high standards of medical care, the clinics are staffed by professional certified veterinary technicians and veterinarians. Organizers emphasize that the level of care provided in the community setting is identical to the high-quality service these professionals deliver in their private hospitals. The clinic operates with a commitment to safe, efficient, and "fear-free" service to reduce stress for both the animals and their owners.
