Karen J. Ryan (nee Salisbury)
Passed away at Ascention St. Joseph Medical Center, Friday, April 28, 2023. Age 78 years.
Survived by her son Timothy R. (Michelle) Ryan. Her great nieces Lisa (Bill) Cummings and Rhianna (Ricky) Hoffman. Great-great nephew Jack Ridwanc and great-great-great niece and nephew AutumnRose and Liam Hoffman.
Preceded in death by her husband Robert J. Ryan (2003), her parents James and Elizabeth Salisbury, her sister Patricia Kelly, brother-in-law James Kelly and nephew Jimmy Kelly.

Karen was bon January 20, 1945 in Chicago and has lived in Joliet since she was 5 years old. Graduate of Joliet Township High School Class of 1964 and University of St. Francis in 1994. Karen volunteered at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home, active with the Rosary Club and St. Mary Nativity Kindergarten. Member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #300 and Will County Senior Club. Karen retired from Joliet Dioceses Schools and Will County Schools.
Memorial Mass will be held at the Church of St. Jude, 18892 McDonough St., Monday, June 12th at 10:00 A.M. Inurnment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials to Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children’s Hospital will be appreciated. Visitation will be held at the Carlson-Holmqiust-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, Monday, June 12th from 8:00 A.M. until 9:30 A.M.
