JOLIET, IL — For one final time in 2023, the owner of Niko's Catering is serving up one of the Joliet area's most popular meals. The final Greek chicken dinner of the year will take place on Tuesday at the Republic Banquet Hall. The meal will be available from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at his new west side location for Niko's Catering, at 113 Republic Ave.

The Greek chicken meal includes a half-chicken, Greek rice and Greek potatoes for $10.99.

According to Nikos Lippas, "We will have dine-in and to go/pick up. You can reserve your dinner NOW by calling us at 815-630-2006 or online at www.nikoscateringjoliet.com."

Lippas also urged everyone to make sure they select 11/07 as your pick-up, because "this is the only date individual dinners are available."

After moving to Joliet's west side in May to open Niko's Catering, Lippas hosted his first Greek Dinner Night at his new location on Oct. 4. And, for the first time, his Greek chicken customers could eat their meal inside Republic Banquet Hall.

For that event, Lippas cooked up 1,000 Greek chicken dinners. Sure enough, he sold every single one of them.

And for Tuesday, Nov. 7, Lippas also will be making 1,000 Greek chicken dinners.

Joliet Patch asked Lippas if he expects to sell all 1,000 Greek chicken meals on Tuesday.

"I hope so, that's the plan," he remarked.
