Louis Mall: Cajun Boil & Bar To Fill 2017 Vacancy

JOLIET, IL — There's a lot of activity underway this month at the Louis Joliet Mall. On Tuesday, Joliet Patch brought you an exclusive story about Cinemark's ongoing $1.9 million renovation project to install luxury loungers in all 14 of the theaters. Here's another big development: Louis Joliet Mall officials are replacing the empty Tilted Kilt property with a new sit-down restaurant, Cajun Boil & Bar.
This will be Cajun Boil & Bar's third location in the Chicago area. The restaurant has two existing locations, one in Orland Park and another at Oakbrook Terrace.
From the restaurant's website: "This unassuming eatery serves up incredibly fresh Cajun seafood boils and classic southern comfort food in a hip atmosphere. With ole’ skool tunes playing and crabs cracking; Mimosa’s flowing during Sunday brunches; this suburban hot spot will be make its mark in the community as thee go to hangout."

The menu for Cajun Boil & Bar includes soft shell crabs, fried gator, fried shrimp, fried catfish and five varieties of po' boys.
On Wednesday, Patch called the Orland Park restaurant in reference to the Louis Joliet Mall expansion project but restaurant representatives did not return phone calls. Patch wanted to know how soon Cajun Boil & Bar will opening.

There's a brief mention of the project on the Louis Joliet Mall's website that states, "Opening Soon."
The Tilted Kilt at the mall has been closed for slightly more than two years now. It closed for business in January 2017.
