Man, 64, Fatally Struck By Freight Train In Will County
The Will County Coroner's office said it happened just before 6 p.m. Thursday.

CRETE, IL — A 64-year-old Beecher man was fatally struck by a freight train Thursday in nearby Crete. The Will County Coroner's office said pedestrian Stephen A. Markobrad was found along the railroad tracks 360 feet south of Elms Court Lane and pronounced dead at 5:42 p.m.
Funeral arrangements for Markobrad were pending, according to the coroner.
The final manner and cause of death were pending autopsy and toxicology results. An autopsy was scheduled for Friday.
