He Vows Another Izzy's Bar Shooting: Complaint
Mark S. Snyder of Crest Hill now faces five criminal charges in Will County.

JOLIET, IL - People are still reeling from the March 9 horrific tragedy inside of Izzy's Bar on Theodore Street that killed 52-year-old bartender Danny Rios and left the bar owner's son, Tom Izquierdo, shot in the stomach with a non-fatal gunshot wound. Customers quickly tackled the apparent gunman, Patrick Gleason, and he remains in the Will County jail charged with multiple counts of first-degree murder. Now, another customer of Izzy's, Mark S. Snyder, 56, finds himself in the Will County Jail. The Crest Hill man was taken away in handcuffs by Joliet's Police Department one week ago, May 2.
Snyder, who lives in the 400 block of Crest Hill's Pasadena Avenue, faces criminal charges of aggravated battery to a police officer, two counts of disorderly conduct, false reporting of a criminal offense and criminal trespass/remaining on land.
The criminal complaint states that Snyder kicked one Joliet Police officer "in the groin area" and that Snyder "knowingly transmitted a report to the police department" stating, 'I'm at Izzy's Bar and there's going to be another Bang! Bang! and then hung up.'"

Snyder knew "there was no reasonable ground for believing such offense will be, is being or was committed," the complaint reads.
The criminal trespass offense states that Snyder "knowingly remained upon the land of another, Izzy's Bar, at or near 507 Theodore Street, Joliet, after receiving notice from the occupant to depart."

Additionally, Snyder told one of the female bar patrons and one of the female bartenders "that there is going to be another shooting at this bar, and I'm going to shoot both of you bitches!" the complaint outlines.
From there, Snyder "extended his index finger with his thumbs up, pointed it at them and yelled, 'Bang! Bang!," the complaint reads.
Snyder's actions were done "in such an unreasonable manner as to alarm and disturb and provoke breach of the peace," inside of Izzy's establishment on May 2, the complaint states.
Will County Judge Art Smigielski has set bail at $200,000 for Snyder and the conditions of his bail require the defendant to stay away from Izzy's Bar in the event he makes bail.
So far, a week later, Snyder remains locked away inside the Will County Jail.
